SA Fashion Week designers and Edgars have come together to bring you the latest runway trends – all available through one of the country’s largest retail clothing brands.

Edgars has been a big supporter of South African fashion, merging design with the retail sector.

The department store has been the official retail sponsor of SA Fashion Week since July 2011.

To commemorate the continuation of their merger, the Winter with Edgars and SA Fashion Week event recently took place at the Edgars store in Sandton.

Radio and television personality Jen Su, who attended the event, said South Africa had phenomenal designers and immense talent.

Designer Katherine Mortner, who is the SA Fashion Week New Talent Search winner, demonstrated how Edgars’ range could be blended with the designers’ ranges. Monumental Story is the opening theme for summer 2015, with the key looks in this trend being bold black-and-white prints and tunic dresses.

Afro-tropical prints, as well as denim and tan combinations, are among the season’s hottest trends. Designs by ERRE, Gert-Johan Coetzee, Rubicon Clothing, SIES!isabelle, Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs, Mantsho, Sober, Colleen Eitzen, Clive by Clive Rundle, Shirt & Co and Non-European are available at the Edgars capsule store in Sandton City, Johannesburg.
