If he is not fighting with or expelling his comrades from Agang SA, party president Andries Tlouamma is sniffing out witches. Earlier this year, he vowed to no longer communicate in English in Parliament “as if we are bewitched”, and proposed that a sangoma should cleanse the House as he sensed that witchcraft was to blame for MPs’ rowdy behaviour. This week, as some were left dumbfounded by ANC MPs’ excuses on why Public Protector Thuli Madonsela should not state her case in the Nkandla saga, Tlouamma blamed the ANC’s views on ... yes, you guessed it: witchcraft.
