Mining entrepreneur Daphne Mashile-Nkosi has added the title of 2015 Africa Female Business Leader of the Year to her long list of accolades.

“This award recognises exceptional leadership and managerial skill in a female business leader who, in spite of stiff competition in a male-dominated world, has shown resilience, courage and sagacity in building a worthy brand,” said the citation.

The majority of the African Leadership Magazine’s 480 000 readers and 180 000 Facebook fans, not counting other platforms, voted for the executive chairperson of Kalagadi Manganese to receive the award.

During the same ceremony in London, Mashile-Nkosi also received a Special Commendation Award from the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, a US legislative body and partners of the magazine on the awards, for helping to transform the African business landscape.
