Cameron fights beer belly with FitFlops
A picture has been taken of British Prime Minister David Cameron that reveals that he may be worrying about his physique.
Britain’s Telegraph newspaper carried a photograph of Cameron on holiday in Portugal with his wife, Samantha, and a glass of beer by his side. But his footwear is revealing.
In the photograph, he is wearing a pair of FitFlops, which the newspaper reported are shoes with a curved sole that help wearers lose weight and improve their muscle tone. The shoes, which cost nearly R1 000, have become a fashion craze since their launch in 2007.
During the recent British elections, Cameron revealed that he was embroiled in a “great patriotic struggle” to shed some kilos, was cutting bread out of his diet and jogging regularly.
In contrast, Samantha, who also had a glass of beer on the table, was wearing no shoes at all. Her perfectly pedicured toenails were painted bright red for the holiday.
