amello, which means re­silience, is a new fam­ily drama that cen­tres on the lives of two teach­ers – Keneilwe (Tsholo Mashaba) and Pa­trick ( Jude Tshi­sevhe) – who are drawn to­gether by their com­mon vi­sion for Mamello High School.

Mashaba, a for­mer Mu­vhango ac­tress, makes her way back to our TV screens play­ing an ide­al­is­tic teacher and prin­ci­pal who is try­ing to re­build her life af­ter es­cap­ing an abu­sive re­la­tion­ship.

TV By look­ing at the ed­u­ca­tion sys­tem through her eyes, the show is given di­men­sion and com­plex­ity.

Pro­duc­ers say Mamello will take the viewer on a jour­ney high­light­ing the chal­lenges this school and oth­ers like it face.
