Joburg Metro cop Mhani Phorisa stood her ground and refused to be bullied by a motorist this past week. Driver Clive Naidoo posted a video of an incident after he was stopped for a traffic violation. He told Phorisa to hurry up in writing the fine and said that, as a taxpayer, he was paying her salary. Phorisa’s witty responses earned her many fans on social media.

He never ceases to amaze, but does he hear what he’s saying? SABC chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng was at it again when he said reporting on crime encouraged young people to commit crime. If he’s not talking about sunshine journalism, the Cloudy One is trying to rewrite the rules of cause and effect.
