Who wants to be a millionaire?

Why go by car when you can take a helicopter? The launch of the oh-so-exclusive annual Tsogo Sun Roulette Masters tournament saw Jozi’s crème de la crème arrive at Gold Reef City by helicopter before heading to Silverstar Casino in Muldersdrift, Montecasino in Fourways and then back to Gold Reef City – playing rounds of roulette, and being wined and dined at each stop. The photos taken by celebrities while we were in the air trended on Twitter for hours on Thursday, dented only by Kanye West’s family dramas.

Talk about addictive. By the end of the night, the stakes were high, as celebs were really getting into the game. Socialite and former blogger Lelo B, Diski Diva and Big Brother contestant Katlego “Kat” Mohoaduba, Twitter’s notorious Pigspotter Cliff and journalist Bianca Nkomo banked a spot to the final celebrity face-off. Kat was the big winner in the end.

But did she have the most fun? Not if you ask Top Billing presenter Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Selimathunzi presenter Siphesihle Vazi, who headed straight for a ride on the Tower of Terror. One of them – I won’t mention any names – vowed never to do it again.

The professional gambling tournament will run until March 19 and the winner will bank R1.5 million in cash. Nice job if you can get it.
