Safer Internet Day in SA
Safer Internet Day was recognised globally last week, and the folks at Google SA offered this advice: invest in antivirus software; always turn on “safe browsing” in your browser; update your passwords often, and make sure they are complicated and different for each program; avoid phishing scams by watching out for unsolicited emails that ask for your personal information; always download your updates – many of these build in new security upgrades; and always be careful when you’re using Wi-Fi for things like banking, which require serious security. In fact, try not to use Wi-Fi for banking at all.
