Weekend special

CityPress - - Voices -

Given the many issues Number One has to deal with, some of them personal, it is interesting that he still has such a sense of humour. This week, he laughed uncontrollably at his own joke while meeting with journalists.

Zuma told of how conservative folks in Ventersdorp had celebrated wildly after hearing that Des van Rooyen had been appointed finance minister, thinking “he was one of their own”.

But they were disappointed when they realised he was just some guy from Khutsong. Since then, Zuma says he calls him “my white Van Rooyen”.

Remember when JZ said stress is a white people’s disease? We see now.
