It’s Avenger vs Avenger

Mar­vel Stu­dios doesn’t put a su­per­power wrong in this epic ac­tion flick, writes Gayle Ed­munds

lit­tle dis­ap­point­ing, fi­nally gets his mo­ment in this film. The other chap to keep your eyes peeled for is Spi­der-Man (Tom Hol­land), who adds a good few laughs with his boy­ish charm. Hu­mour is one of the things that keeps this ac­tion-heavy film from get­ting au­di­ences down. It bal­ances the biff-bang-booms with a good dose of tongue in cheek.

There are so many char­ac­ters in Civil War, it feels a bit like an X-Men movie which, fun­nily enough, is the next film on the slate for this block­buster sea­son.

The ques­tion is, hav­ing un­seated The Bat and The Man of Steel, can The Avengers keep the top spot once the next epic bat­tle ar­rives on our screens, X-Men Apoca­lypse? Only time will tell, but by mid­win­ter we all will have had our fill of as­sem­blies of en­hanced hu­mans this year.
