Freedom Under Law, chaired by Judge Johann Kriegler, and the Helen Suzman Foundation have been fighting hard. They’ve taken President Jacob Zuma, the NPA, Shaun Abrahams and Nathi Nhleko to court. They’ve fought to get charges dropped against Pravin Gordhan, come to the defence of Robert McBride and Anwa Dramat, and have applied to get Abrahams suspended. We hope they win. “We are not calling for the slaughtering of white people – at least for now. What we are calling for is the peaceful occupation of the land and we don’t owe anyone an apology for that,” EFF leader Julius Malema told his supporters this week.

Is this the call Malema intends to make in the future? This is reckless in a democratic South Africa.
