For some reason, Teyana Taylor’s dress reminded me a lot of the dress she wore to the recent Europe Music Awards. In spite of the bizarre feeling of déjà vu, it’s a pretty dress on her. I love gold and I love jumpsuits, so I am a little disappointed that Heidi Klum’s combination of the two didn’t work. It’s doing far too much – and not in a good way. The 2016 American Music Awards took place on Sunday at the famous Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and had a rather disastrous red carpet, writes Gugulethu Mhlungu

Henson’s shirt-dress look is confusing. I really like her style generally, so I really wanted to like this, but it’s just so boooooring. Keyshia Cole went for this red over-the-top look. The fur is fun, as are the boots, but coupled with that sheer material, it’s just a big no. Keke Palmer’s look gave me a lot of conflicting feelings. My immediate thought was “Oh no!”, but there’s a late 90s, early 2000 feel about it that makes it a little cool. The jury’s out on this one. Chrissy Teigen walked the red carpet in this ubersexy black number. The high slits were great for giving the dress a bit of pop, but otherwise, it was nothing to write home about.
