Profits of Doom

CityPress - - Voices & Careers -

Most of our attention this week was focused on the shameless promotion of naive religious beliefs by false prophets. One in particular, Lethebo Rabalago, claims proof of his “healing powers” by spraying gullible South Africans with insecticide.

So, it was apt for Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini, a defeated Zuma supporter, to invoke God when asked whether the labour federation had accepted money from the Guptas. With almost a sigh of relief, he replied: “No, unkulunkulu usebenza emfihlakalweni” – which means “God works in mysterious ways”. Although this was supposed to be a denial, anything is possible.
