ISIbalo House: Stats SA’s dream comes to life

CityPress - - Sport -

The dream has eventuated for Statistics South Africa. Through blood, sweat and tears those we sent to secure a new home for Stats SA, did so. It was a dream that had turned into a nightmare as the possibility for such a new home disappeared from the horizon. We had hoped to have this dream realised in 2009 on the occasion of the 57th Session of the International Statistics Institute, but that was not to be. A dream deferred was a dream to be delivered, for an idea whose time has come cannot be suspended. However, it takes courage, ability to implement, and above all, discipline to deliver. The Stats SA team that led this project on our behalf is a shining example of what is possible, and proof that it can be done is right here in front of us. It can be achieved on time, to specification and to cost.
