It’s not a comedy but you won’t stop laughing if you ever watched this deficient local drama on StarSat’s StarTimes One channel. Stilted, with bad acting, camera work, sound and terrible scripts, this “medical family drama” scraped the bottom of the barrel.

This embarrassing local sci-fi drama – first aired on BET (DStv 129) and then – about a man, played by Pacou Mutombo, finding a crystal and transforming into a “superhero” was a shockingly bad and cringeworthy fail. Not even the afternoon fare for toddlers on Disney shows is such dreck.

The year’s worst local show was indicative of just how far SABC3 has regressed. The Real Housewives-type rip-off, done with six “who are these people?” women, their hangers-on and utterly atrocious production values made the Kardashians look like National Geographic. – Thinus Ferreira
