How to restore the dignity of Parliament

CityPress - - Voices -

Ndimeni Eastern Cape The dignity of Parliament during the state of the nation address (Sona) will surely be restored only when President Jacob Zuma’s term of office ends. Nakedi via SMS Sona is not the time and place to deal with personal grudges. I have the right to watch and listen to the address. All those without manners must be dragged out and thrown far away. Manamela Mokhele North west It is very simple, get rid of Zuma and sanity will prevail. Jane Lunga Eastern Cape What a shame. What a terrible embarrassment for all South Africans Sona was. We can only restore our dignity by getting rid of the ANC in government. The violence meted out to the Economic Freedom Fighters is unacceptable in a democracy. The behaviour of ANC MPs was shameful and the attitude of the ANC to anyone opposing their views reflected in their utterances. Calling people “dogs”, “rapists”, “sellouts” and “racists”, all because the opposition parties are standing up to the theft, corruption and mismanagement of the ANC. The once honourable movement is dead. RIP ANC. Morris Bekeweni Eastern Cape The dignity of Parliament can be restored if Sona can be used for its purpose, not for settling scores and as a political tool. Molefi Ralitsela Gauteng The dignity of Parliament can be restored if more police members are deployed in Parliament for security reasons. I know, I didn’t elect him, but let’s wait for the election. Shaluza Tselanngwe North West The dignity of Parliament can be restored by voting the ANC out for good. Jake North West Only if we could get rid of this corrupt president.
