Cassper Ny­ovest con­tin­ued his climb to riches this week when he was named as an am­bas­sador of pre­miere in­ter­na­tional vodka brand Cîroc. The event – at The Munro Bou­tique Ho­tel in Houghton Es­tate, Joburg – was at­tended by Ny­ovest’s fam­ily and close friends, a ver­i­ta­ble who’s who of lo­cal hip-hop.

The news hardly came as a sur­prise, though. A few weeks ago, the 26-yearold rap­per and pro­ducer ap­peared with bot­tles of Cîroc in his mu­sic video for the song Tito Mboweni.

He brought that full cir­cle by per­form­ing the hit at this week’s el­e­gant and in­ti­mate bash.

So­cial me­dia joined the party and the hash­tag #OnAr­rival was trend­ing. Ny­ovest looked dap­per in a fit­ted navy blue suit matched with brown leather loafers.

A pleased-as-punch Ny­ovest told guests: “It’s such an ex­cit­ing mo­ment for me to be a part of the Cîroc fam­ily ... I pride my­self in be­ing num­ber one.

Jaws dropped, as they al­ways do, when ac­tress Nomzamo Mbatha ap­peared to host the party in a tight-fit­ting gold dress with an ex­quis­ite tas­sel skirt. Af­ter the for­mal­i­ties, guests were served three dif­fer­ent cock­tails that rep­re­sented Ny­ovest’s big­gest songs and mo­ments. “My fans should look out for all my great plans that will come to fruition soon,” the lively rap­per said. “I can’t wait to have in­ti­mate
