With 11 official languages, South Africa is often in conflict over which one takes precedence. SABC’s Tshivenda drama series, Muvhango, has done its fair share of promoting the language spoken in the far northern parts of the country. The show, one of the longest-running on TV, recently celebrated its 20th year on air and continues to keep viewers glued to its tales of the Venda people.
