Sibusiso Mayisela (10), Grade 4, Refano Primary

CityPress - - News -

A brilliant child who loved mathematics, Sibusiso wanted to be a doctor when he grew up. He always said that he wanted to heal people.

Sibusiso was his father’s keeper. When dad knocked off work, he knew that his son was waiting for him at home with a hot cup of tea.

As soon as he walked in, Sibusiso and his younger sister, Nokuthula, would jostle to carry his bag, a fight his sister always won.

Their father would sit in the corner sofa and Sibusiso would bring him his afternoon cup of tea. He would help him remove his shoes and socks before telling him about everything that had happened at school.
