Is Lindiwe Sisulu the best person for the job?

I think Lindiwe is a good candidate to be Cyril’s deputy. She is beautiful, but above all principled. She will definitely do well for the ANC’s tarnished image.

She has grown up in the ANC. She is passionate about it. She will never be nonchalant when the organisation is dying. Her name does not appear anywhere where there is corruption. She knows the policies and traditions of the movement. I think she is the epitome of the women who are ready to govern.

Anybody who wants to lead the ANC must just be someone who is not going to perpetuate the current trajectory but take the party completely away from the current machinations. Also, I think she is not going to make it because there are two streams to the ANC’s December conference – NDZ and CR17, and the latter seems to be the holding candidate.

Eric Klaas Western Cape

No one from the bunch of people who call themselves ANC will lead the country to prosperity. Like others of her kind, Lindiwe was there when her party dragged the country down the drain, and said nothing and did nothing – because she, like others, was protecting her bread. Therefore, there is no way that she can gain the trust of upright, thinking citizens. Like a damaged car engine, this organisation needs a major overhaul.

Robin Joubert KwaZulu-Natal

Lindiwe is a much better bet than Nkosazana. She is young, more progressive and forward-thinking and she is a woman with good fighting DNA.
