The idea of a pres­i­den­tial can­di­date to be given a plat­form to de­bate why he or she should be pres­i­dent is noble. That will put each can­di­date in a po­si­tion to be ac­count­able not only to the party mem­bers, but to the sup­port­ers as well.

It is a good idea as the cur­rent sys­tem is not fair enough. It is easy to tam­per with. Let the peo­ple elect their own pres­i­dent.
