But the same study sug­gests oth­ers might have darker mo­ti­va­tions, since peo­ple with an­tag­o­nis­tic traits are more likely to main­tain ties for prag­matic rea­sons such as want­ing money, or for easy ac­cess to sex. Take an hon­est look at why you’re keep­ing an ex around. If it’s for un­healthy rea­sons, it’s time to wipe out this zom­bie – and cool it with the calls to his mom too!
