The world has about 6,500 different languages. The least-spoken language is Busuu in the West African country of Cameroon — only eight people are known to speak it. The Chinese language group, including Mandarin and Cantonese, has the most speakers, nearly 1.4 billion people. A total of about 1.26 billion people speak English, but most of them speak it as a second language.
