Vietnam beatings

HANOI: Vietnamese human rights activists are being beaten and intimidated, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today, as it urged the Communist government to hold those responsible accountable.

The rights group said it was possible that the government wanted to show a decrease in political arrests and trials, but now pursued other measures to crack down on dissent in the country.
