A 12-YEAR-OLD boy who went missing from his Glenmore home two weeks ago has been found.

Captain Nqobile Gwala said the boy was found at a shelter in Umbilo yesterday. Bohlale Mpeke, a pupil at Highbury Preparatory School, left home on September 27.

According to his mother, Salamina Mpeke, he left home after they had a talk about his school marks.

“I merely pointed out to him that he needed to be a little more focused at school. I did not shout at him. It was a conversation and he agreed. I went to my room and saw him walking out of the house. I did not think anything of it,” Mpeke said.

The boy failed to return home later that evening and his mother became anxious. She contacted the police and a search was conducted.

Gwala said the investigating officer continued to search for the youngster, who was eventually found at a shelter in Umbilo.

She said they were pleased that Bohlale was found safe.

Bohlale Mpeke was found two weeks after going missing from his Glenmore home.
