PHILADELPHIA: A Liberian man accused of lying on his US citizenship application about his ties to convicted war criminals, including former Liberian President Charles Taylor, is headed for trial in federal court.

Jucontee Thomas Woewiyu, also known as Thomas Smith, would be tried today on multiple charges related to immigration fraud, perjury and false statements about naturalisation.
