Ramaphosa backs Gordhan

-

Cape.

Ramaphosa’s open support for Gordhan could pit him against his boss.

But ANCYL spokesman Mlondi Mkhize said if Gordhan was not guilty of any offence he should cooperate with the Hawks.

But Ramaphosa said he was with Gordhan.

He warned that it was not acceptable that the government would have an internal battle.

The public support for Gordhan has continued to grow within the ANC and outside.

Former Finance Minister Trevor Manuel has been backing Gordhan from day one.

The Sars wars have been going on for some time now with the finance minister insisting he was not guilty of any crime.

Parties in Parliament have also backed Gordhan saying he was standing up to Zuma for trying to capture the National Treasury.

But Zuma has denied that he was trying to get his minister out of the way to get the keys to the Treasury safe.
