COMMENT Time for a power plan
BY THIS time next week six municipalities in the Northern Cape could face a series of electricity cuts . . . simply because they cannot afford to pay their Eskom bill.
The businesses and people of towns including Kakamas, Keimoes, Prieska, Douglas, Griquatown and even Van der Kloof could be without power from Monday. Their municipalities have defaulted on their payment agreements with the power utility.
