TWO BUSTED WITH BOOT FULL OF CASH

AL­LEGED MONEY RUN­NERS TO AP­PEAR IN NC COURT

MONEY RUN­NERS: Police have re­fused to pro­vide any com­ment on the ap­par­ent link be­tween an al­leged money run­ner, who was ar­rested in the North­ern Cape in pos­ses­sion of a large pile of ban­knotes, and a fam­ily re­la­tion who is a high-rank­ing police of­fi­cer based in Pre­to­ria. Two men were ar­rested and charged with money laun­der­ing af­ter they were found to be in pos­ses­sion of a large amount of cash, be­lieved to be around R2 mil­lion, which was stored in the boot of the ve­hi­cle they were trav­el­ling in. The money, seen here in a pic­ture sup­plied by the police, was sorted into de­nom­i­na­tions of R100 and R200 notes.
