Diamond Fields Advertiser - - OPINION -

THE SPCA inspected the premises of Matlalo Cheap Sheep and Goats in Ipopeng, following complaints from neighbours about bad odours and backyard slaughtering. SPCA inspector Mario van der Westhuizen said the animals were in a good condition and were well cared for but that new municipal by-laws had to be adhered to such as the need to obtain a permit, keeping a 15-metre perimeter around the animal enclosures as well as precautions to prevent rat infestations.
