2 488 – in the North­ern Cape have been erased from the regis­ter of the Health Pro­fes­sional Coun­cil of South Africa (HPCSA) for non­pay­ment of their an­nual fees. Med­i­cal prac­ti­tion­ers and den­tists pay an an­nual fee of R764 and R765 re­spec­tively, whilst psy­chol­o­gists and paramedics pay R784 and R400 re­spec­tively.
