THE POLICE have managed to foil an armed robbery at a local café and catch a gang of 11 criminals after an intense 48-hour operation. Police spokesperson, Constable Sergio Kock, described how they managed to capture the group of men, aged between 20 and 34 years of age, yesterday morning. According to Kock the police in Kimberley are investigating an attempted armed robbery case which occurred yesterday morning at a general dealer café in the city at approximately 11am. The name of the café cannot be released so as not to jeopardise the investigation.
