KIMBERLEY TOWN BC

LAWN Bowls is one of the few sports that is still allowed to be practiced under present regulations.

The reason is because covid regulations can be implemented while playing this game in the open. Social distancing, mask wearing when not on the greens, sanitizing and not touching any equipment used by other players are compulsory.

This game is alive and well in the Northern Cape and Kimberley and can be exercised by anyone and everyone. It is no longer an old men’s marbles game.

The Northern Cape Men’s and Women’s singles Bowls Championship will take place in Kimberley this coming weekend

The Women’s play-offs will take place at Kimberley Town Bowling Club while the Men's games will take place at Beaconsfield

Park Bowling Club tomorrow.

The Championship finals for both sections will take place at Beaconsfield Park BC on Sunday morning. Due to Covid regulations no spectators are allowed.

Players that qualified for this competition from all four districts in the Province will take part.

The Inter-vaal sub-district that represents bowling clubs from Warrenton up to Schweizer-reneke have entered five men and six ladies.

Kimberley sub-districts that represent five bowling clubs in Kimberley have entered four men and four ladies.

Conroy sub-district representing bowling clubs from Victoria West to Van der Kloof Dam have entered three men and three ladies teams

Kalahari sub-district representing clubs from Upington, Prieska up to Kathu and Lime Acres have entered four men and three ladies teams.

We wish all the players good bowling and keep safe on the greens and while travelling.
