What are the trails like? The Hennops trail is for anyone from beginners to experienced off-roaders. It’s a circular route through the hills outside Pretoria, with rock, mud, water and axle twisting obstacles. See this trail at www.tracks4africa.co.za. Do I need a 4x4? The minimum requirement is a 4x2 with good ground clearance and a rear diff-lock. Where can we stay? Hennops’ campsite is currently used for hikers on the farm, so the 4x4 trail is for day visits only. What else can we do? Hiking and mountain biking are also popular activities at Hennops, but are booked separately. There are two hiking trails – Krokodilberg and the Zebra trail. The biking trail of 15 km is mostly on a good dirt track. Costs: R250 per vehicle with a driver and three passengers on the trail. That includes the use of the facilities at the Hennops Picnic Site and Donga Lapa. Contact: Hubert de Haas 082 572 9005, info@hennops.co.za.
