A dose of gadgetry
LG’s Samsung Galaxy S9-rivaling G7 ThinQ has arrived in Mzansi and is now available at various retailers and major carriers. The ThinQ is one of the Korean phone maker’s latest devices that comes infused with AI features. It boasts the first dedicated Google Assistant button found on an Android phone, so you don’t need to say “OK, Google” to summon the voice assistant. The star feature on the device, however, is its AI-powered cameras; it has one wide-angle and one standard 16-megapixel camera on the back, as well as a 5-megapixel front cam. Inside, it packs a Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM and you get a 3,000 mAh battery too. No wireless charging, sadly, but there is at least IP68 water and dust resistance. It’s offered in Platinum Grey, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose.
