Here’s how you can manage your time and not stress ahead of your wedding day
Use our handy countdown to plan your wedding.

Draw up a preliminary guest list. If using one, book a wedding planner.
Get quotes from service suppliers.
Finalise your guest list.
Begin looking for or having your wedding dress designed.
Pick the bridesmaids and groomsmen, talk to them about their duties and plan their outfits. Decide if you are having flower girls and ringbearers and finalise their outfits. Book a caterer, photographer, florist, wedding cake baker, entertainment and any accommodation.
Book a décor planner and what you need to take to your venue such as wine, chairs, tablecloths, etc. Book a hairstylist, make-up artist and shop for wedding shoes.
Begin planning your menu.
Send out a “save the date”.
Book dance lessons, if necessary.
Organise a gift registry.
Design and order the invitations. Begin planning the honeymoon. Ensure you have all necessary travel documentation.
Arrange a master of ceremonies.
Send out the invitations.

Order wedding rings and collect or check when to collect.

Order menus, seating charts, etc. Go for hairstyle and make-up trials. Do final checks and confirmations with service providers.
Collect your wedding dress. Ensure groom and retinue outfits are ready.
Confirm the number of guests, time, venue and special needs with the caterer.
Pack for the honeymoon.
Have final beauty treatments. Pay outstanding service provider fees.
Do a test run of the ceremony at the place you’ll be getting married and at more or less the same time.
Give your rings to the best man. Practise your speeches.
Pack a wedding day emergency kit: scissors, hairspray, pins, plasters, sewing kit, water, hand lotion, etc. Ask a bridesmaid to keep it.
