The tra­di­tional re­cep­tion was held in a large mar­quee at the groom’s fam­ily home. Guests sat at ta­bles with tra­di­tional-in­spired hand­made dé­cor (top) and feasted on a meal that in­cluded rice, ujeqe (steamed bread), beef curry, cold meat, boiled chicken and var­i­ous vegetables and sal­ads. Fruit salad, malva pudding and cus­tard was served for dessert.
