18 June is Father’s Day. Here are some ideas for treating your dad or father figure.

DRUM - - Hey Teens -

KING OF HIS CASTLE Let him be king for the day – make him coffee or tea when he wishes, and let him sit back while you do the household chores. Or make gift coupons he can exchange for a favour, such as a shoulder rub, washing his car or cleaning out the garage. A SUNDAY DRIVE AND ICE CREAM Nothing is more relaxing than a scenic drive on a Sunday afternoon. Treat him to his favourite ice cream afterwards.

TIME FOR TWO If you have younger siblings, offer to babysit so your parents can enjoy some downtime together. A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

Create a memory book filled with pictures of you both, and put captions on some of the best ones of you growing up with your dad.

TAKE A HIKE! If he’s the adventurous type, join him for a hike. Pack in some tasty snacks and enjoy a picnic once you get to your destination. MOVIE NIGHT Turn down the lights, get out the blankets and popcorn, and put on his favourite movie. (Yup, even if it’s black-and-white and was released in 1920).
