Double take

Fergie’s back and on form

DRUM - - Chill Out -

It feels like forever since we’ve had any new music from Fergie. Her solo debut, The Dutchess, dropped way back in 2006 but finally she’s back with even more Fergalicious goodness in the aptly titled Double Dutchess.

The 13-track album is a mix of hip-hop infused pop, R&B and ballads. The combo might sound random, but Fergie reminds us this is not unlike The Dutchess.

“The common thread was that [the tracks] are all organic to me. I can’t put out an album of just one style of music – of what’s ‘on trend’. I would feel like a fraud,” the singer told Entertainment Weekly.

Double Dutchess features guest appearances by Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj.

The 42-year-old mom of one’s second album has been a long time coming, but it’s practically guaranteed to spawn hits – four singles have already dropped, and more are sure to come.

Fergalicious and fierce – newly single Fergie is back with a bang.
