DRUM - - Ed's Note -

Sorisha Naidoo has opened up about the self-doubt issues which led to her lightening her skin. DRUM readers weighed in on the former Miss India South Africa’s decision to undergo the controversial procedure.

Having too much money is a problem, some people need to buy themselves some self-esteem. VIOLET MASHABA

I don’t see the why people criticise those who bleach their skin. People must do what they are comfortable with. If one has the money to do it then I don’t see why it matters in the eyes of the society. You can bleach till you are green if that’s what makes you happy. Criticism and jealousy are terrible diseases. RIRI FOSHEEZY

I wish we could all be comfortable in our own skins. I’m sure that’s what God would want for us too. CADMUS MOSE

She’s such a gorgeous woman though, is nobody happy with the looks the good Lord gave them? THULI ZWANE

So glad she finally came to her senses and stopped this dangerous bleaching business. APRIL KHABA
