PROTEAS BREEZE PAST ZIM

DRUM - - Sportsbuzz -

It was almost too easy. South Africa beat Zimbabwe by four wickets in the third One Day International in Paarl.

They were chasing 229 after the Chevrons elected to bat first, and with six wickets lost it was still an easy win for the Proteas.

“It was good to see a few guys getting in and playing some really good innings,” Captain Faf du Plessis said after the game. “Reeza [Hendricks] and Klaasie [Heinrich Klaasen] played really well for us.”

The bowling was great in all three games, he added.

“We need three wicket-taking fast bowlers and we’ve got that in Dale [Steyn], Lungi [Ngidi] and KG [Kagiso Rabada] and they are very, very different.”
