Sithembiso truly an education champion

Eyethu Baywatch - - LETTERS • IZINCWADI - OUMA RIEKIE

YOUR article about young Sithembiso Khumalo's campaign to promote education among underprivileged learners really touched me.

Here is a 15-year-old schoolboy who took it upon himself to do something constructive to help out his peers.

Realising that his schoolmates are battling to fully grasp information in the classroom because of their limited knowledge of the English language and starting a drive to collect dictionaries for the many who cannot afford it, is a clear indication that this is a thinking young man with compassion - a true future leader.

He deserves full support for this magnificent initiative.

So let us dig up our dictionaries and place them in the box at Empangeni's Sanlam Centre (next to the Tourism Information Hub).

We can't let this boy and his cause down.
