A young woman’s body was found in some bushes with a bullet wound to the head on Saturday, while the burnt body of an elderly man was discovered in an alley on Sunday morning.

The young female victim was found during a police search in the area after her friend’s boyfriend reported the matter to police.

He told police his friend, who was dating the victim, had asked him to transport them to a traditional healer, but when he returned there was no sign of the woman.

The man was alone and carried the woman’s bag. He acted strangely, causing suspicion.

Police rushed to the scene and discovered the body within minutes of the search.

Her boyfriend is still at large and a manhunt is underway.

In the second case, church members discovered the burnt body of the elderly man.

Police said his naked body showed signs of having been burned with a tyre.

The man’s identity is still unknown and police are asking community members to report missing people to the police.

Both murder cases are being investigated by the eSikhawini SAPS.
