Zu­l­u­land an­glers hold their own

THE men’s Zu­l­u­land Shore Angling team held their own at the South African Shore Angling Cham­pi­onships Se­nior A Tour­na­ment held in Jef­fery’s Bay ear­lier this month.

The 12-man team fin­ished fourth over­all out of the 12 com­pet­ing prov­inces and saw team mem­ber Kevin Ru­dolph fin­ish sec­ond over­all in the in­di­vid­ual sec­tion.

He also bagged the tro­phy for the Most Out­stand­ing Catch. He landed a mam­moth 153kg black ray.

Jan Louw claimed fifth spot over­all in the in­di­vid­ual sec­tion and hooked the tro­phy for the Heav­i­est Ined­i­ble Fish af­ter land­ing a 196kg spot­ted ragged tooth shark.
