Lace up for Tronox uMhlathuze Marathon
COMRADES Marathon runners still hoping to qualify for the big event will definitely enter the popular annual Tronox Marathon and Half Marathon hosted by the uMhlathuze Athletics Club at Addison Park on Sunday, 29 April.
This year will see athletes taking on a new route through the suburbs of Empangeni.
Qualified runners will use this as a Comrades training run to test their fitness levels.
Athletes can enter the 42.2km run at a cost of R200 per runner and will start at 5.30am on race day.
The 21.1km run/walk will start just after the 42.2km run and will cost R130 per runner.
There is also a 10km route at R80 that will start at 7am.
A 5km fun run is also on offer for families and youth who want to be part of the event.
This race will also start at 7am and cost R20 per athlete.
