Eyethu Baywatch - - SPORT • EZEMIDLALO -

GOLFERS can enjoy a round of golf during the first annual Walk in Faith golf day, knowing that their fees are being put to good use, supporting poor families within the Zululand community.

Walk in Faith is a non-profit organisation based in Richards Bay, that supports local families with food, clothing and essential supplies.

Their most recent project donating over 150 Christmas presents to needy community members - was a great success, and they are hoping to better this with the proceeds raised during the golf day.

The golf day will be held on Saturday, 12 May at the Richards Bay Country Club at a cost of R200 per player (teams of two).

‘Our long term goal is to raise enough funds to open a children’s shelter as well as a family shelter, so that we can be of even more assistance to our community,’ said Manfred Marx of Walk in Faith.

At present, their needs to ensure the success of the event include hole sponsors (R1000 per hole), donations of prizes, or monetary donations to the charity.

Those interested in supporting the event can contact Marx directly on 0721428029 or emailing manfred@renebekker.co.za
