STAY SAFE IN CYBERSPACE:

Tips to help you keep your digital information secure

Fairlady - - CONTENTS - By Alexa Forbes

Think of the internet as a tent: when you’re inside it, it feels private – but it really isn’t. Not only can people hear everything you say, chances are they can see you too. So don’t give away too much information about yourself! It makes it easy for fraudsters to pretend to be you, meaning they can access your bank accounts, bond and medical aid or insurance.

Any of the following documents contains details that fraudsters can use to find out more about you: your ID document, passport, driver’s licence, salary slip, municipal bills, bank statements… basically, anything that has your name and home address on it.
