Dangerous dogfight but great for share traders
Akey attribute traders look for in a share is high volatility. It is to be had in abundance in Comair, a share that has seen soaring price advances of more than 500% and precipitous declines of up to 80% in its 17-year listed history.
Comair, operator of British Airways (BA) in SA and low-cost carrier Kulula.com, has been in one of those price decline phases since March this year. Its share price has more than halved from a record high and its historical rating has slumped to a 6 PE, its lowest since 2002.
It makes for an interesting share for traders prepared to bet on how long the patch will last.
