EV­ERY CLIENT HAS DIF­FER­ENT needs and pri­vate banks and wealth man­agers tend to spe­cialise in cer­tain niches. While the over­all awards favour in­sti­tu­tions that cater to a broad range of client types, that doesn’t nec­es­sar­ily mean they are the best for your par­tic­u­lar niche. The archetype rank­ings re­flect the best in­sti­tu­tions for par­tic­u­lar client types. These archetypes, drawn up fol­low­ing con­sul­ta­tion with in­dus­try play­ers, best cover the typ­i­cal spread of needs. Each pri­vate bank and wealth man­ager was asked how they would cater for the needs of each of these typ­i­cal clients. Our panel of judges then as­sessed those re­sponses, to­gether with client feed­back from the client sur­vey, to give scores to each in­sti­tu­tion.
