Story shows SA is in serious trouble
As a regular reader of the FM, and like many South Africans, I follow the travails of our sinking economy.
“Anatomy of a Crisis” (Cover Story, September 13-19) was a superbly written overview of the state of our country’s finances. We are in serious trouble.
Even if sanity were to prevail and our government “turned the ship around” tomorrow, we would face a demographic nightmare. A rapidly increasing population, no education, no skills, no jobs.
You know what that means.
I really am beginning to doubt that we will ever recover from the Jacob Zuma years. Sadly, it need not have been so.
